The United States and South Korea launched four missiles off the east coast of the Korean Peninsula on Wednesday morning. The launches were a retaliation to North Korea's farthest-ever missile test, which caused evacuations in Japan. Separately, South Korea also launched a missile that malfunctioned shortly after launch and crashed into the ground, causing panic in the city of Gangneung.
